Come tomorrow 14th February 2013 the whole world will be celebrating Valentine’s Day.

It is a very important day as people express their love to loved ones and exchange gifts as well as perform certain activities to commemorate this day.

Lovers often go a step further in displaying affection to each other as well as express their love once again.

Towie star Frankie Essex, the newly-single reality babe, 24, who split from long-term boyfriend John Lyons last month, says a guy would have to spoil her rotten if he wanted to impress her tomorrow.

She says a girl would want to be wined and dined, pampered and bought something a little sexy on the most romantic day of the year.

For her it’s the little things that count and surprises are good. Leaving little hidden gifts or cards around the house that your girlfriend can find through the day is so romantic.

Leave them in places she can easily find them like the bathroom cabinet, her undies drawer or her handbag.

Get her some sexy lingerie– the old classic that never gets old! This is a great gift for her as well as you and you can both enjoy it later on.

Spoil her rotten– Girls like to be spoilt! Perfume, chocolates, flowers, make-up are all perfect gifts for any girl. I also love my shoes so if a guy bought me a lovely pair of shoes I’d be over the moon.

Treat her to a nice romantic meal out- On Valentines a night out with just me and my guy is perfect. Somewhere quiet and romantic where you can just be on your own together.

Treat her to a pamper session at home -Get some candles, some massage oils and dim the lights and really make her feel like a princess for a few hours.

Still more suggestions from others:

For ladies please do unto your significant other what you expect from him. He doesn’t forbid nice gestures.

Have a group date at someone's house. Gather a bunch of people for a stay-at-home group date and split the duties. Keep in mind that if your party consists of both singles and couples, there should be an even number of single men and women so that no one ends up feeling like a third wheel.

Give your lover a dozen roses and do it with a creative twist. Give eleven red roses and one white rose. Attach a note that reads: "In every bunch there's one who stands out and you are that one."

Gift wrap a wishbone in a jewelry box. Send it to her with a note that says, "I wish you were here."

Unplug the TV. Put a note on the screen saying, "Turn me on instead."

Write him a little love note. Insert it into the book he's reading.

Make a custom banner. A big banner to welcome him home from a trip or just to say "I love you!". Use construction paper and crayons, or poster board and markers, or old sheets and spray paint.

Don't just walk into the house tonight the way you always do. Pause on the porch; ring the doorbell; and greet her with one red rose and a bottle of champagne.
