Gov. Aliyu dissolves cabinet
...close aides affected as House begins screening of new nominees tomorrow

The Niger State Governor Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has on Wednesday dissolved his cabinet and submitted the names of his close aides and others to the State House of Assembly for screening as commissioners.
Although, there had been waves in the air that some commissioners were seriously lobbying to be reappointed into the cabinet but the chief servant as the governor is popularly called was not perturbed.
According to a letter by the governor to the Assembly and read by the Speaker, Adamu Usman "the removal of his top aides was part of efforts to re-invigorate the government to the delivery of democratic dividends to the people."
Governor Aliyu also submitted the names of a former Commissioner of Youths, Umaru Nasko, two Permanent Secretaries, Abbas Bello and Mahmoud Kpako Bello, MDGs state Director Joshua Nuhu Bawa as nominees for the post of Commissioners.
