Dr. Daniel Musa, the Permanent Secretary of the ministry said in Gombe that the training would begin soon.
He said the programme, to be conducted by the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), was designed to reduce youth restiveness in the society.
He said the trainees would be posted to the four ultra modern skills acquisition centres at Ture-Mai, Lubo, Yamaltu-Deba, and Tango.
Musa also said some partner institutions such as the Federal College of Education (Technical) Gombe and the Education Resource Centre, Gombe, would be used for the training.
He said the programme would last for three months, adding that the trainees would be given resettlement kit to start business after the training.
He said the training was only open to youths with minimum qualifications of school certificate.
Musa also said that after the training, Small and Medium Scale Enterprises Development Agency (SMEDAN) and the Bank of Industry would play key roles in ensuring employment of the trainees.
